"Gnocchi balsamic lamb ragu"

  • 1 package of instant gnocchi mix
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (optional, for garnish)


  1. Prepare the instant gnocchi according to the package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and onion. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the ground lamb and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.
  4. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
  7. Serve the gnocchi with the balsamic lamb ragu on top. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil, if desired.
